What are the best aspects of this product?

Positive points: it's easy to use, great scope, versatile, and worthy overall ownership cost. When I found Heap, it was a relief and quickly won me without question. What I struggled with my previous tool, I wasd able to make significant gains with Heap in as little as few minutes. Its automated event tracking, retroactive event notifications, and a easy user-based reporting were the things that made me fall in love with Heap. The best thing with Heap is their fair pricing tier which vary by frequency of visits and traffic size without giving up any features.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

As a Heap user, there's nothing to hate about it. But it'd be nice if there was a way to make things easily manageable and getting defined events organized when using varying domains. Instead of showcasing a combination of events, it'd make things a lot simpler if it involved certain extended and descriptions on which property/domain such events belong to. That way you can easily spot them and making the necessary applications.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

While keeping track of varying (and separate) domains that were inter-related to each other in a certain way, Heap assisted us in gaining better understanding the behavior of our traffic users. Through this, we were comfortable measuring things on individual user levels. Even if we're using GA, our lower traffic is small and the data offered gave us actionable insights. That's how we were able to benefit with Heap.

What are the best aspects of this product?

Wha's great with Heap is its value prop. With the ability to operate analytics on questions that we're able to come up with is both a life saver. It also proves itself to be of great use. Aside from that, I don't need to install firing tags on area. That saved us from expending our developer resources.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

When dealing with reports and events, its UI ends up becoming hard to manage. It's a really robust tool, but you've got to admit that people will be dealing with numerous events for tracking. Facing and organzing hundreds of events is very difficult since no grouping or management is involved. Unless your team has some kind of nomenclature for tagging reports/events, be vary careful if you have any plans to scale with Heap.

We wanted to find what users are actually doing with our software. We're constantly making a reiteration of our product so we're never at all sure which right questions to start asking. Thus, we're in need of a tool with a historial data. Heap happened to be the perfect answer to our issues.

What are the best aspects of this product?

Being able to have everything labelled manually is probably the biggest upside. Taking the usual route in asking developers to include an item track in code is a long and restrictive process. Being able to find just about everything need in Heap by button labelling, page views, and clicks is flat out amazing. It's a why-didn't-I-think-about-this-in-the-first-place idea. It's UI is really simple and lets you mix up original data -- the smart way.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

There's no such thing as a perfect analytics platform, so don't expect it do everything for you easily. Certain actions entail the need to include them in custom. An example would be things that can't be fixed (ex. completion of a profile). I also found out that some things are better off when reported somewhere else. This is just nitpicking for my part.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Heap enabled us to take a pro-active approach when it comes to analytics measurement. We're a learning and recruitment platform with plenty of variables to account for. Heap lets you be an investigator and label items including "view the page," "clicked apply," and "clicked on the tile" to get a sense where the drop-out is located when utilizing these as a funnel. Making use of Heap with a tool is a cheaper alternative to track or video record your users to understand why and where users are dropping off to. What are the best aspects of this product?

Being co-founder of a startup, our team wanted a simple (and free) solution for learning further on user activitity in our app. We're already making use of Segment for capturing server-side activity for a number of reasons. Getting the integrated connection set up to Heap was easy to do. We couldn't be any happie when we included page events. Many thanks to Heap!

At present, there aren't any math functions to average or sum usage statistics. Exporting to a spreadsheet format is a breeze. It would be nice if it had pre-installed capabilities.

We finally found a simpler and free solution that lets us know how frequent server-side activities and web pages occur. All that withot involving developers. Now, we can confidently make educated decisions as to where we can concentrate our development.
