What are the best aspects of this product?

Keeping company assets in excellent condition is one thing that a business owner should do to avoid downtime and long-term losses. This is where Infor EAM comes into the picture by ensuring that all assets are accounted for. It keeps track of how long its been running, the cost of purchase, the number of times it has been repaired, and the amount spent to keep it running. Not all companies keep tabs of these things, but its vital that they avoid more significant problems in the future. Using Infor EAM will help you decide whether you should replace or acquire a new asset and how much money your company will be saving in the long run.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

We have to be more careful when processing work orders because there is no way to reopen it once tagged as “Finished.” That is why we advise the people in charge of creating and monitoring the work order status to go through each request thoroughly and see if something else needs to be done or if a document still needs to be scanned and added as an attachment. Doing this would take us more time to close off work orders, but it would reduce human-caused errors, causing delays or rejections on individual requests. Since we cannot change how the built-in ticketing system works, we have to figure out another way to solve our problem. Lastly, the system does not refresh on its own, so we have to track any incoming issues one by one.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

It helps me keep track of all the assets within the company. I have visibility on their current status, and when are they scheduled for preventive maintenance. I distribute all pending work orders to my staff evenly so it can be addressed right away. It's easier for me to decide whether an asset is still worth keeping or not anymore.

What are the best aspects of this product?

It ensures that all our resources are well monitored and can be easily searchable through the EAM platform. It is also designed to schedule PMs on a specific interval to keep all assets in excellent condition. Plus, it helps us expedite our inventory and procurement process, which means cutting down on unnecessary asset expenses and maximizing what we have right now.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

The version upgrade gave us the things that we have been requesting for. However, the new set up seems to be more confusing. We all need to take some time to retrain ourselves with version 11, so we could continue to use EAM and close off work orders more efficiently.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Using EAM is a better way to track all our assets from the biggest to the smallest ones. All of them are being maximized, which has a direct effect on our earnings as well.

What are the best aspects of this product?

This app is designed with great features that can help you oversee each asset's status within the company. What is nice about EAM is its flexibility and customization abilities to tailor your business's needs. The online dashboards give department heads a notice on the things that need to be serviced, repaired, or replaced. So they can plan on allocating their current funding to ensure that all of the immediate needs are being addressed.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

The smartphone version of the platform needs t to be improved on so many levels. We could not perform certain functions using our cellphones, thus making us want to revert to our desktops.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Before using EAM, I have to admit that our inventory process is all over the place. As the years went by, our company has collected many new assets and replacement parts that were not even used and kept in storage for a long time. We started to input all these assets into the EAM system to trace its availability and current condition easily. Also, with the help of EAM, it is easy for us to label and identify each spare part's purpose and its correlation to our existing assets. This kind of inventory system that we have developed has been working effectively for the entire company for the past few years. We have been utilizing all of our allocated budgets in purchasing only the things that are needed. Second, we ensured that all of the assets and spare parts that need repairs are tracked accordingly into the system. Each item comes with a unique ID#, date of purchase, warranty coverage, purchase price, serviceability dates, date of installation, history repair, and so on. Having such information encoded into the system makes it easier to trace each asset and prevent it from getting lost or misplaced. This can significantly affect the company's expenditures by leaving us with no choice but to purchase new ones costs more money. Lastly, securing an ISO certification is highly essential for us that is why we have to make sure that all of our existing processes are aligned with their standards. One way to meet them is to ensure that all current assets are in excellent running condition by scheduling regular preventive maintenance to be done by either our in house or third party technicians.

What are the best aspects of this product?

It gives you a lot of options on how you would like to personalize the app. I am the type of person who would love to experiment on a new look and feel of EAM and see what works best for me.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

The desktop version is superb. However, the mobile version is far beyond what I am expecting. Maybe it needs more time to be developed before we could use it seamlessly.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

I have been in the consultancy industry for years, and my job is to identify problems and provide long-lasting solutions that affect a business or large scale corporations. I can say that using Infor EAM has helped me bring drastic changes when it comes to protecting assets and finding ways to make it last longer.

What are the best aspects of this product?

I thought that I would have a hard time shifting into Infor EAM, but its the other way around. I learned how to use the system real fast because all the tabs are relatively easy to understand. It does not matter how big or small your business is, but EAM is designed to help you handle all your assets and make sure that they continue to generate revenue for the company.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

I have no more complaints now that the program has upgraded to its latest version. I am currently using Ver11.3, and I can say that all activities have been running smoothly ever since. It’s now easier to track assets and equipment, routine scheduled maintenance, order for replacements, and replenish other assets in advance.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

It is easier for us to assess each asset's condition and decide when would be the best time to get a new replacement within our budget. We also take good care of our existing machinery by ensuring that they undergo a monthly preventive maintenance schedule that saves us from paying for expensive repairs and replacement of spare parts. All plans are being set into the system, and it will send us an alert, so there is no excuse for us not to miss it. Also, general inventory is being done once a month to keep track of our current stock of spare parts and place our orders in advance if we are running low.
