Loom

I love how easy it is to record help videos, troubleshooting videos, and demos with Loom! I also love that I can simply share the URL with someone, and they can watch the recording instantly. I know some other softwares require you to login with your account or with a password in order to access to recording, but with Loom you do not need anything other than a browser to see the recording!

I can't think of any downsides to loom! So far I have never experienced any issues or bugs with it. I would say the only slight annoyance is that it sometimes logs me out of my account on my computer so I have to sign back in, but that is really not much of an issue!

There is no downside to trying out this product! It has only helped with my productivity and how I support my customers. I've also even recommended it to my customers to start using to help with their own troubleshooting!

I also love that you can choose to have your camera on or off when recording a Loom video, which I think adds a nice personal touch when recording videos for training purposes or for demos.

If you have never tried another software to screen record on, then I do not think you should look any further than Loom. It has everything you could ever need, and is extremely easy to use!

I love how much time Loom saves me. It also helps create and build relationships that just an email can not do. Easy to use and makes responding to emails more personal and fun. The customers love it as well and it helps be create and build a better relationship with them. They get to know me personally and see my face and hear my voice. Often the people I help are too busy or unable to answer a phone call so this helps bridge that gap.

Honestly, nothing that I can think of or come across so far. The only minor dislike is their customer service. I reached out with some questions and initially got some help. I have some additional questions but have still not heard back from them on these new questions. I am still waiting for a response. I understand they are extra busy at this time and only able to help paying

Give it a try, it may seem weird at first but it becomes easier the more you use it. It will save you so much time and help you create relationships with your customers quicker.

It has saved me time in not having to send an email with a huge list of step by step directions and screenshots. I can record my response quickly and they can watch it quickly and see what to do instead of having to read what to do. Loom is amazing and I hear nothing but great things from my customers that I help. They appreciate the video over a long email.

I like how I can just record my entire screen while at the same time displaying my face on the same recording. I like how Loom allows one to chose between recording either the Full Desktop or the Current tab. This is important as it allows you to chose what you would like to cover when recording. Assuming I only wanted to record my current tab then that means I can just select on the Current Tab button and if I wanted to move across different tabs then I can chose Full Desktop. I also like how Loom sets a timer before it starts recording my screen. At least this gives me sometime to prepare myself. I like how every recording I do is saved on a central virtual location where I can download it for editing or any other thing I may want to do.

I do not like the fact that, for me to use Loom, I have to be connected to the Internet. Loom cannot function without internet. If you do not have internet connection your screens won't be recorded.

If you are thinking of using Loom for screen capturing, then free do so. This tool is free to use and it captures high quality images.

I am using Loom to record videos for my YouTube channel. I also use Loom to record videos of me demonstrating something and then share it with many people.

The chrome extension, it's really usefull. The fact that you can share with out edit.

I was one the first user, lost the account of how many people I've indicated to use solution. But as soon the got some investidor they limited for a ridiculous number of the videos that you can have, the duration. In summary I can't use the solution anymore. Don't recommend it.

I could record some videos, but latter I had more trouble with the limitation of number is videos.

Very very east to use and share with customers and colleagues.

They are trying to add new features/UI and it is not making it as simple to create a video like before.
