Mailgun has gone downhill since I joined in 2013

Mailgun has turned into a collection of people trying to do as little work as possible. I emailed them to tell ask them which of my 400 domains have no IP assigned. And they refuse to help. It’s a simple SQL query for them and there is no way to access this info through the dashboard.I joined in 2013 and have been paying over 1,300$/month. They completely take us for granted. To them, we’re just an entry in their profit and loss book. The competition is good now so we are taking our money elsewhere to a company that values our business. You should too. Clearly all the good talent has long left mailgun - between all the merges and acquisitions they’ve been prioritising over customers and features.

Worst Online Experience Worthy of First Ever Online ReviewI never leave reviews for anything (whether service is good or bad) but hopefully this will point someone in a different direction when looking for a solution. I was searching around for different mail solutions for an application I'm developing. Mail gun looked to be the best solution and was excited to start using it. I logged in only to find out my account was 'Permanently disabled' and I never received a notification that it was disabled. When I reach out to support I was sent this response 'After further review, we’ve made the decision that we do not wish to continue our partnership together, and your account has been permanently disabled.If you’d like to read our Terms of Service [1] or Acceptable Use Policy [2], they are readily available on our website.'Then next thing I know the support ticket was closed immediately before I could respond to their response. I opened a new ticket and asked if they could inform me on why my account was disabled (assuming I violated one of their policies) so I could prevent it from happening again. Then without a response, the new ticket was also closed to my follow up question.They were quick to take my money when I upgraded my account but also quick to make 'the decision that we do not wish to continue our partnership together' with no explanation. I can own up to any mistakes I've made and I can understand a companies decision to not work together. I've read a lot of experience with new customers being labeled as "spammers" but my intentions for sending out emails is for the application to remind staff about medications, tasks, and other important daily activities that pertain to someone their taking care of. I don't know if that still falls under "spam" but I wish someone could have asked how I was going to be using mailgun before shutting everything down. But instead, I got no explanation and immediate closing of all customer support tickets before any explanation.

WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH

It seems I am not alone in my extreme dissatisfaction with the way this company treats its new customers. I was excited to get onboarded today and went through the setup process, my credit card was immediately charged and I was ready to set up my new Mailgun account. Within 30 seconds I received a notice that my account had been disabled. At the time, I was on the phone with my tech guy who was going to be configuring my account. We filled out a support ticket and the response was RUDE and accusatory, as though we had done something wrong by just signing up to their service. Now the onus was on us to prove I was 'worthy' of using the service and not a spammer. I was being accused of something by this company before even getting a welcome email. When I reached out to support, I got bounced between three different (equally rude) people, each one refusing to call me to sort out the issue. When I answered their demands, they responded by permanently disabling my account. I'm still waiting for my money back. At this point I'm very happy they won't be getting my recurring subscription every year. WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH.

Very bad experience

I am starting a startup and we are in preparation to launch and have had a terrible experience with mailgun.My programmers begin to work with mailgun to integrate with our systems. Mailgun continually disabled our account during our test phase (we are not yet officially live), and we did everything they asked to make sure we were compliant. Nonetheless, the number of times we were disabled during our testing phases was excessive! Most recently, our account was disabled without having a single rejected email, and after complying with all of their requests. I then received confusing communication from them that our account was re-enabled, even though it was still disabled! So I wrote to them and reached out to them again to say, hey what's up? Why are we disabled or what is going on? I was very confused by their communication. Rather than work with me to answer our questions, they permanently disabled our account. How can you treat a legitimate customer with a legitimate business in such a callous way!? I would love to make it right with mailgun, because it's a pain to start all over integrating with a new company, but their lack of responsiveness has already cost our startup a lot of time and money, and they do not communicate well with their customers. I am so disappointed with them and will not be recommending their services.

I wouldn't bother using mailgun. Use a different service like sendgrid. Customer support is useless and not helpful. I have had numerous issues.1. One of our clients accounts emails are just not being received and after months of back and fourth with mailgun their answer was it's not their platform. I proved time and time again there was no reputation issues with the domain/email being used yet mailgun was using that as an excuse. 2. We have had issues with getting an account enabled again as they are telling use we have to use 2 factor auth which we don't want to use. We are being told and forced against our wishes that without it we can't have our account reactivated. I am moving over to sendgrid. I suggest you avoid using mailgun.
