What are the best aspects of this product?

Power BI customer reps have always been helpful and responsive--kudos to them! They don't just give us canned responses, but rather, they really try to address our specific issues. Power BI is a well-designed and helpful tool.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

It can be difficult to merge information coming from more than one data source.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

It can do with some improvements, but Power BI is a great tool to work with overall. Compared to other data visualization tools, this really is the cream of the crop. It offers an extensive visual and add-on library too. Plus, with it being a product of Microsoft, managers seem to be more accepting of its analysis and solutions compared to other products such as Tableau.

What are the best aspects of this product?

Power BI can connect to just about any data source--and this is probably its main selling point. Plus, it creates pretty decent graphics and slicer interactions too. And finally, data from Power BI are easily shareable and can be editable by a third party too.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

There should be a free version for Power BI. Some graphs take too long to load as well.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

We're a manufacturing company, and we've been using Power BI to analyze our productivity and identify leaks within our system. It integrates well with other data sources. Hands down, it's probably the best data analysis program we've ever used. The graphs are interactive and facilitate proper data understanding. A single dashboard can host multiple graphs so that all our data can just be in one place.

What are the best aspects of this product?

There's so much to love about Power BI. For one, it offers a range of pricing models, and we've been able to choose the package that fits perfectly into our budget. It can pull data from just about any source too, and automatically updates when the data source does. It hooks us up with a robust set of ETL tools as well, complete with its own programming language. It supports an expression language as well that helps us deal with our tabular data more efficiently.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Its desktop version feels a bit clunky. This is where the bulk of our work happens, and we need it to function as smoothly as possible. The program itself needs to be cleaned up too. We've noticed a couple of bugs such as the date slicer of the program. It does not automatically update the date of our files. These little things are important to us, and we hope that these issues can be addressed right away.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

I use this for creating data sets for my clients. In particular, it transfers data seamlessly to and from hadoop data lake on hive. In the previous program that we used, parallel refreshes did not happen as seamlessly as they do with Power BI.

What are the best aspects of this product?

Ever since we started using Power BI, we've grown heavily dependent on its functionalities. In fact, we can hardly imagine what a workday might be like without this program. It offers all the right tools that we need for business visualization, plus it has a pretty impressive coverage system too. All of the output that we've generated from it have been professional-grade and up to our business standards.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Power BI has given us plenty of space to explore and create. This is especially true for its pro version. It allows us to collaborate and obtain the data that we need. The only problem we've noticed with Power BI is that it requires initial background on SQL and the like.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

This is easily our go-to program for business visualization. We've set our eyes on continuous success on service intelligence, and Power BI propels us to work closer to this goal. We've identified this as the best possible solution for reorganizing and overhauling our company's operations.

What are the best aspects of this product?

One of the best things about Power BI is its flexibility and ease of use. We haven't come across any problem in linking it with other data sources. Plus, the interactive charts are truly professional and aesthetically top-notch. It can scale with the user too. Whether you're a newbie or an expert, you can easily create measures with Power BI and maybe even customize your charts with Python or Javascript. Assigning tasks and sharing reports and dashboards haven't been a problem too.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

The only downside to Power BI is its pricing models, plus the fact that users without pro subscriptions can't view my reports too.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

We use Power BI mostly for financial analytics. It's great for solving data problems through reports and dashboards too.
