I was happy to let my websites die with…

I was happy to let my websites die with moon fruit - needed to redo them anyway. They told all their customers that they would be closing all accounts and refunding automatically renewed fees drawn - pro rata. Yet they charged my card for the annual charge, 2 weeks after that notification, 2 weeks before they closed services down, on 12/7 - and kept the whole fee. I emailed them, and they assured me they would issue me a refund. And Close the account. Now they refuse to refund - they dispute my dispute with my credit card - and they are making me document all the emails they sent to me assuring they WOULD refund that amount. I'M FURIOUS!

AWFUL

AWFUL, first couldn't access my sites with Moonfruit to edit, then told they were being migrated to Wix via Yell. Now told moonfruit CANCELLED all of my websites, including the official fan website for my Father the late Des O'Connor. All the precious photos of his career stored on that server gone! Yell simply say oh dear not our fault Moonfruit cancelled them! No date for cancellation no reason, and no acknowledgement for the last email from Moonfruit informing me my sites were being migrated at no cost and I would be contacted when they were up. Customer since 2004 and my whole professional on line presence gone! I have no words. Someone must be responsible for the Moonfruit Server prior to migration and since? This should be reported.

Sad really

Same experience as the other reviewers. My Moonfruit side has been migrated to Wix, I like the look of it, it looks same as I created it, so the recreating part seems fine apart from the small little things I can adjust myself. I also like Wix itself, seems easy enough to navigate.But the migration process is eventually a disaster and it is ending it for me because I cannot assign the domain I transferred to my Wix account to my actual Wix website!?! It is locked in my account, I can stare at it, it is there but it cannot be assigned. I find that unbelievable. Oh, also, I am a contributor to my website and Yell is the owner.Wix to the rescue - I am advised to transfer my domain to Yell or somewhere else to be able to assign it to my Wix website. Mind-blowing. Especially being told this after I transferred it to Wix and paid for it there.I think I will start to look elsewhere to create my website from the scratch.But wait, oh yeah, just a small annoyance, I already paid to Moonfruit for the whole year before the migration and I paid Wix for the domain. On the positive note Wix customer service is harder to reach but when you eventually reach them they were trying their best to help me but sadly they can't. Spend 1hr20mins on the phone with no result.Yell doesn't have great customer online support and I was let down many times before reaching any solution via dreadful online chat. Complete waste of time. Extremely stressful.Moonfruit was so good. At least in 2011/2012/2013 and basically before it all started to fall apart because of Flash player.

Moonfruit-Wix-Yell=Nightmare

The migration from moonfruit to Wix has been a disaster. I spent months unable to access my website. It was then transferred to Wix with a completely useless domain name. To make things simple, I purchased a new domain name through Wix. I now find I can't assign my new domain name because apparently I don't own my website, Yell do! I followed every instruction and have just gone round and round in circles. Contacting Wix has been a nightmare. When I finally got through via a chat box, I was told I needed to speak to Yell. Getting through to Yell was another challenge. Eventually I made contact and guess what? I need to speak with Wix! Back to Wix and on the phone for over an hour. Told I will need to take back my domain name and park it somewhere else like Go Daddy before trying to assign it to my website again! Really? How much would that cost I wonder? I have no confidence in Wix or Yell. We can send people into space and probes into outer space but Wix/Yell can't assign domain name to my website. Wish I'd never heard of Wix/Yell.

Absolutely awful migration

Absolutely awful migration. Website lost. Avoid Avoid Avoid!!!Oh they are still taking my money and its so far been impossible to get it stopped or get a refund for all the months im not getting out of it. Giant Scam!!!
