It is a SCAM website ! be very careful!!

I made a free account in 2007 and back then I was allowwd to upload photos until I reached the 2GB limit. I used only 780 MB. For years, the service was free. One month ago, I wanted to log in to view old pictures and it asked me $5 subscription as a last warning or all content will be deleted. I paid the money and I saved my pictures elsewhere. I then wanted to delete my account but I could not. This month, $5 were automatically talen from my bank account through paypal. I do not wish to pay for their subscription but I cannot cancel it either. I ended up removing my bank account from my paypal.I believe Photobucket has turned into a SCAM. Be very careful!!

stay well away from this company. allow free uploads, then lock you out behind a pay wall. should be illegal. certainly immoral if you've backed up photos here. stay well away. awfull company

Bs company this

BS company this. I signed up with them probably like 15 years ago. Did nothing wrong. I uploaded pics, because i wanted to upload them to different forums. No problems then. Now, is a different story. For years already they are sending me emails giving me three choices, pay 5$ a month or 60 per year. OR WE WILL CANCEL YOUR ACCOUNT! Well, i dont want to pay for free stuff so the first few times i ignored them and thought fine, cancel my account. But they dont. They just keep sending me black mail emails with threats of cancelation.. And it just goes on and on. So then i thought ok, i will actively cancel my account. And i tried. And i tried and i tried but alas. No success. No answers to my 15 emails, nothing. And to cancel you have to talk to them. But since they dont answer.. No cancellation. Total greediness and nothing else. Stay far away from this company. Its total BS.Edit* Ofcourse business have to make money. But, that does not mean all is allowed. I signed up for a free account. I followed all the rules. No problems, worked well for years. And then.. The emails started coming. Threatening emails. Made my stomach ache. Oh no. I will loose all my pictures for braking rules i did not sign up for. You cant make a contract, then later change the rules so all of a sudden i am braking the rules, and now i have to pay or my photos will be taken away from me. Thats illegal in any country eccept cybercountry. And the threats just keep coming and coming and comig. ALLRIGHT i gave up, cancel my account already and lets be done! (They wont let me cancel my account AND they dont cancel my account. Ive been trying to get out for like two years now..

Disloyal to Long Time Customers

I used Photobucket for many years and never went over storage. Now, they're demanding I pay or they restrict access to my own photos. If you don't want to let me upload additional photos, I get it. But restricting me access like this is just greedy and disloyal.

Not the brightest candles on the cake.

Once upon a time (April 2021) I decided to try out Photobucket. I uploaded 2 or 3 pictures to test the waters, as there was a "Free plan" for 250 images or 2.5 GB worth of photos. Seems to work - something for the future, I suppose. Fast forward.Today is the 23rd of November 2021 and photobucket informs me via eMail, that "Your photos may be subject to deletion. Verify & secure your account today." and "If you take no action, your account will be restricted for your protection." Sounds serious, but they take care of me apparently - after all: it's for "my protection", right (like a condom or something)? So I log in via the provided link. Well, I try. "Greetings earthling, here's your Russian extortion crew. You have been a bad boy. Wanna see your pictures? Pay up."Oops. There's a tiny, tiny 6pt link under the screaming BOLD RED notice spread across the screen, that reads: "or manage your account."Perhaps...no. I cannot log in. So I try the "regular route" and succeed - crack the champagne. Pictures? Ahem...no. Gone. My account shows room for 250 pictures or 2.5 GB. Beneath that info there is some arbitrary scale "Hosting bandwith" in red (apparently at a limit of 248.4 KB (that's right -KILOBYTES". If I wanted more "bandwidth" I would need to pay up. That's like serving someone a plate of free noodles and withholding the cutlery. Less the noodles - 'cause they are gone.To conclude this: Stay away from this mess. Run like hell. You won't get a fork and spoon.Edit: The "terms and conditions" for the "free version" do not mention the words "bandwidth". Go figure!Edit Edit: Photobucket is by it's own accord part of Facebook. Excuse me, "Meta". Things become clearer now, don't they? :-)
