"Exactly What it Purports to Be"
What do you like best?
I love the idea of using reactions to count as votes on a post, and Simple Poll does a great job making a post for that purpose quick.
What do you dislike?
The app can be fussy. For example, I just barely wrote a poll with options "Yes" "No" and "Can't Tell"--and Simple Poll broke out "Can't" and "Tell" into two separate options. I checked--it wasn't a glitch of the single quote, but rather, if you forget quote marks around the question. I suppose, like most Slack integrations, it requires very specific syntax.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I prefer Simple Poll to Polly.

Quick polling of employees in Slack (e.g. which activity would you like to do for our retreat? What snack would you like for the office to bring in on Friday? What are the most difficult phone calls to process?)

What do you like best?
The simple poll feature is the best way to quickly receive votes from specified individuals on a particular topic. This has been implemented by my team on a number of occasions and we love the feature!
What do you dislike?
We have not discovered any problems with the simple poll and will continue using at least weekly.

We are able to account for every individual in our group and make sure that everyone's vote is heard.

What do you like best?
What I like best is the option to include multiple answers and have people simply pick an answer. It's a lot more efficient than the back and forth of conversation especially when asking for a group.
What do you dislike?
It's a little sensitive to where the special character's go to make the poll. They have to be in the exact right spot and sometimes it can be tricky.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Simple poll is easy to use, especially in slack. It is a quick way to get a fast answer to your question. It's helpful and user friendly for others as well. I use it for many things rather deciding on lunch or activities.

I like how easily Simple Poll integrates with Slack. It's super easy to create a new poll and view results.
What do you dislike?
The voting modal is a little strange, especially as it will let a user submit multiple responses without warning them that they've already answered. I also wish it would let the poll-maker preview before other users start responding.

Simple Poll is a great add-on for companies already using Slack for inter-company communication. It's easy to set up and easy to use.

I use Simple Poll often to quickly survey my teammates and gut-check decisions. For example, if I have an idea, and I want feedback on it, I can create a Simple Poll and get a quick sense of how my team feels about it.
I also use Simple Poll for more social and logistical aspects of my workday such as deciding when/where we're eating a team lunch.
