Generally speaking I'm very thankful…
Generally speaking I'm very thankful for the jobs / tasks provided by unbabel. However, as an editor I have never been treated like this by any other company before. You can be working there for years and years and then all of a sudden they cut down the amount of tasks by 95% explaining to you, that they just hired new editors, instead of distributing according to seniority. So basically after a couple years of hard work with them (and hopefully trust, too) you are still treated like the dude, who just joined unbabel from his hammock in Bali and might drop out again after a week or two. This, dear unbabel team, makes us feel like just pure numbers for you. You're giving us the feeling that your start-up doesn't need human characters, all it needs is robots that are getting the work done. Anyone, really, it doesn't matter to you. So I might assume that you have already become those cold-blooded new-era robots yourself, even if you try to tell all those fancy stories about your employees and how multi-lingual they are, just to try and create the community vibe? Yeah, cool. But please listen to your editors likewise. They count. We count. Ignoring is disrespectful and cold.

My experience with Unbabel
It has been now 1 month that I have been working for Unbabel on their App, and I absolutely love it! I enjoy translating, and thanks to their App it's so easy, I am on it almost the whole day, for me it's just as a game, I can do it any time, any where! When I wake up, I stay in bed and I nicely do all the available tasks I have, comfortably on my mobile, then I happily start my day, and I keep on checking every once in a while for more available tasks. And moreover I have asked for the cash out already 3 times, and they are also very fast in paying, so I can only say good words about them.I'm really enjoying translating for them, I hope this remains a long term cooperation!

As an editor you are treated with a…
As an editor you are treated with a lack of respect. Evaluations are regualarly done with the rule of thumb and are sometimes even contradicting each other. But no one cares. The managers don't understand that on the other end there are human beings depending on income. Suggestions to improve things are ignored. No drive to improve processes and make it nicer for all stakeholders. That creates an ice cold atmosphere and zero community spirit, not to mention appreciation. Wouldn't recommend.

Unbabel help you to not get anything, only problem with a health.
Unbabel.com accept You next day in them system to work there. I translate English to Finnish. I immediately start work. I update page almost every 5 minutes and sometimes they give a job for 3-4 hours during the day. Some of paid tasks were short some of them were long. Almost I do all work fast. They start give me more and more paid tasks. They also put my price up. I start from 12$/per hour and then system put my price to 18$/per hour, because I do my job very good. Then they give me work for 6 hours and during this working time, they take it away. And make it look like it was a system mistake. After all they put my price down to 14$. I text to support about this and ask whats going on?. They don't answer to me one week, but put my price back to 18$/per hour. After one week support contact to me. And say to me how they happy to work with me and ready to see me in the company and saying how I am a hard-worker. During this time i take away almost all my money from my balance. Something like 140$. And I keep in my balance 4,90$. Also I text to support about senior editor. How to get to this. And they tell me that they are going to give me this during this week if everything is okay. Then I see that in my status after this talking in this evening. It's coming evaluation thing. And i think that everything is okay and they start to looking to me and check me and everything is going well. I continue to work. And make more 25$. Next morning when I wake up, I see that my status go down and I can't do any translation paid tasks anymore. Then I contact to support again but they don't answer for me this time. And I also have in my balance 29,90$ and i try to take it away to my paypal 25$. now already more than one week past. and i still don't see my money. usually they pay during 2 days. and support still don't contact with me. Also they have a system that you only can withdraw 5,15,25$ etc. to your account. if you have for example 4,95$ I cant take it away. So it looks like its stealing company. They just kick me away and hire other person for this job and going to use him same like me. And in the end they kick him out and also don't pay him money what they should pay. They also don't give you any notifications and them application on the phone don't work for example I use Iphone xs max, and it didn't never work on me.I have C1/Advanced English. And I get this paper from school in London. And I have native Finnish, I am originally from Finland.

"A Work From Home Translation Service"
What do you like best?
Unbabel is a great, work-from-home program for other businesses who need to hire a translation service. It allows a user to split their jobs into micro tasks. It also lets a user connect with other translators in other communities, allowing for collaboration. Anyone can apply to Unbabel for free, which is the best part.
What do you dislike?
For the most part, Unbabel is great, except there are occasions where projects are unavailable. You also will receive a different payment amount from your clients, as it varies based on location. Unbabel also is not a substitute to a full-time job (or a part-time one for the matter), as jobs don't come in at a consistent basis.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are considering the use of Unbabel, just keep in mind that this program is not a substitute for a full-time job. It is a program who pays translators to translate text from businesses all around the world. This program is perfect for those looking to earn a little money on the side, or for businesses who need a quick, quality translation service.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Unbabel is great for earning a little extra cash on the side if you are comfortable translating different languages for others. It has allowed me to convert my business over to using this service for some of our international business clients. It has opened up opportunities for us to collaborate with others on the other side of the world, seamlessly.
