What are the best aspects of this product?

It provides support for a wide range of platforms and numerous environments. It can include new backup policies in a cinch. It's dependable unlike other third party backup software in today's market. Its file recovery is swift and super fast.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

A lot of backups tend to fail with exit code. There should be an option available to ignore and showcase higher percentage in creating successful backups. Its support isn't really on point. Reporting system needs some enhancement.

Backups within the enterprise can be made with high success rates. De-duplication is a great feature to have. Less backup time is spent. Replication has improved drastically.

I love what this product does. It offers a lot of things I need. It's flexible. A tool that anyone can depend on for enterprise backups.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

It would entail an upfront time commitment. It also requires a bit of money in the process especially when dealing with configuration. But it's actually worth it in the end.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Its ability to have a centralized management for backup in the enterprise environment. NetBackup provides agents with a wide range of backups for server OS, databases, and apps with varying backup media.

What are the best aspects of this product?

The app's versatility and its functionality is great. Its query for auto adds to the VC box, which has proven to be handy in an environment that's frequently expanding. Further improvements could be made if there's no failures on the simple character index. This makes it easy for Wintel admins to extract the whole policy whenever VM's are added.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Not having the ability to be granular with Opscenter and NBAC. This would grant operator entry to just about everything but for restoration of data that's federally regulated. When it comes to NBAC and Opscenter, usage will come into play whenever you require usrs to conduct operator tasks. But this would lead to inaccessibility of data.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

It dealt with a number of things. These include issues in communication, VMWare, NBAC, data domain storage, and AIR. Through AIR, I can make use of varying media servers in two remote environments. It's useful in an ITAR regulated arena. This is particular useful for foreign national who want access to a certain data.

It struggles getting granular with NBAC and Opscenter. Hence, that leads the operator to have access things. Although restoration for federally regulated can be made. Usasge for NBAC and Opscenter will come into the picture whenver you require users carrying operator duties. Keep in mind that they won't have direct access to data.

It's able to directly address problems in data domain, VMWare, and NBAC. Through AIR, I'm able to make us of a wide range of media servers in remotely-located environments. In an arena where ITAR is heavily regulated, this will be very useful. This is especially true with foreign nationals who want to gain entry to a specific data.
