I started screen sharing with leads and customers in the pre-covid era. Back then most people felt strange to connect via computer. It was a nightmare when a person did not install all programs in advance before the meeting. Long delays messed up the schedule.

Whereby eliminated the friction to start a meeting.

Whereby online audio and video conferencing application has a very user-friendly design leading to better user experience while creating or joining any conference. Also, I love setting my meeting room with my link to share with attendees whenever I require to conduct an online forum.

With its free and even paid plans, the total number of participants who can join a conference is minimal compared to other audio and video conferencing applications. Also, the recording feature is not available on its free plan, and even in its pro plan, the recording feature is only accessible through add-ons.

I mostly prefer using Whereby for conducting one to one or small group based online video and audio conferencing session for various business-related deals and processes with our customer. This application loads very quickly and is very easy to navigate, as per my experience.

I think that Whereby values simplicity, it's quick, easy and to the point. All you have to do, if you are the host, is create an account, generate a link and you are ready to start talking in the video conference. The attendees have an even easier way to join, they just have to click the link you have given them, no accounts, no downloads, truly minimalistic. The links you have created can also be given on the phone as the links are very simple to say and share, they are a bunch of jumbled numbers. The meeting holds up to 50 people which more than enough for my 30 student class. Chat is also available to the students who can't afford a microphone. It is feature-packed but remains very easy to use.

The screen sharing feature is a huge problem as it is almost never reliable. The screen that is being shown can cut out, lag, or have it's audio jumbled/removed. My students have complained a lot about this and how it is affecting their learning as most of the information is seen through that feature. I have tried resetting, reloading and restarting to no avail. However, I did managed to fix it by messaging support but it took them 2 weeks to respond which is not a good sign of good customer support.

Whereby is a very useful video conferencing tool that can be used by anyone due to its ease of use. Apart from screen sharing, Whereby is perfect in every criteria of a video conferencing application. Not needing to download it, puts your students and yourself in a better standpoint in computer security. It's ease of use makes it easier for students and yourself to navigate and fully grasp the features of this amazing technology.

A benefit that both my students and myself see as a great one is the recording feature. I am able to record sessions of video conferencing with ease which is something I don't see many platforms having. Students can go back to recordings and check out some of the information that they may have forgotten and/or necessary for the assignment/exam. I also go back to see what I have taught and what I have yet to cover.
