Amazon Aurora
By Amazon Aurora
Amazon Aurora is a MySQL and PostgreSQL-compatible relational database engine that is explicitly built for the cloud. It offers various levels of security for the user's database, including network isolation using Amazon VPC, encryption at rest using keys that users create and control, and encryption of data in transit using SSL and AWS Key Management Service. The parallel query attribute offers quicker analytical queries on the user's current data. Users can deploy Parallel Query to operate analytical and transactional workloads in the Aurora database. Amazon Aurora also features a fault-tolerant distributed and self-healing storage system that scales efficiently. User's volume will increase in increments of 10GB up to a limit of 128 TB, and they don't need to provide excess storage for their database to manage future growth. PostgreSQL and MySQL compatibility make Amazon Aurora an appealing target for database migrations to the cloud.
