Invite people to your event by sharing a link. Let invitees respond to their invite with predefined answers. You will get a list of all participants with the exact number of guests automatically. Each event has a comment section. You can make additional announcements or discuss open questions from the participants. Hence no additional messenger is required. Everyone can attach their pictures to the event and hence share them with the rest. Pictures can then be downloaded. The event host can also delete pictures. By sharing the event you also share the exact location of it. Invited people can thus be navigated to the location quickly. The location can be an address or just coordinates.
